The City of Carlsbad is looking for community input on how to use federal funds that assist low-income residents and communities. These funds called Community Development Block Grants are granted from the federal government and must be used for programs and services to assist low and moderate income earning Carlsbad residents. To receive these funds, the city must submit a five year strategy, known as a Consolidated Plan to the federal government. The city is currently developing its next Consolidated Plan and needs your input at two upcoming community forums to help determine community needs and funding priorities.
Community Forum Dates:
Carlsbad Council Chamber 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive Wednesday, Nov. 13 3 to 4:30 p.m.
Carlsbad Senior Center 799 Pine Avenue Thursday, Nov. 18 6 to 7:30 p.m.
For residents who cannot attend or would prefer an alternate method to provide input, a short survey can be found on the city’s website. The survey is open from Oct. 17 until Nov. 18.
