As the State of California and the County of San Diego continue to move through the process of recovery and reopening, the City of Carlsbad is interested in hearing from Carlsbad businesses. The city would like to better assess the ongoing effects of COVID-19 and better understand the impact and outlook for businesses, including continuing challenges.
On Nov. 17, 2020 the City Council discussed the concept of a hospitality worker recall ordinance and directed the City Attorney to draft an urgency ordinance for consideration at the Dec. 8, 2020 City Council meeting. The Ad Hoc City Council Economic Revitalization Subcommittee will be discussing the ordinance on Nov. 30 as a part of its regularly scheduled meeting. In advance of the Subcommittee’s meeting, the Subcommittee is seeking public comment on this working discussion draft by staff. This draft has not been reviewed or approved by the City Council. It purpose is to aid the Subcommittee in its work by providing a beginning point for public comment. If you wish to provide comments to the Subcommittee for their consideration as they discuss this item, please provide input to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Monday, Nov. 30, at 12 p.m.
The Carlsbad City Council will be considering this item at its regular meeting on Tuesday Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. if you wish to provide live feedback during a public hearing.
