Business Resources

The city’s economic development staff is working with the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and the Carlsbad Village Association to provide business-related COVID-19 updates. If you have businesses related questions please contact us at business@carlsbadca.gov

As the State of California and the County of San Diego continue to move through the process of recovery and reopening, the City of Carlsbad is interested in hearing from Carlsbad businesses. The city would like to better assess the ongoing effects of COVID-19 and better understand the impact and outlook for businesses, including continuing challenges.

Please take a few moments to provide information that may be used to guide city programs that support businesses. The survey should take about seven minutes to complete and will close Wednesday, November 25, at 5:00 PM.

On Nov. 17, 2020 the City Council discussed the concept of a hospitality worker recall ordinance and directed the City Attorney to draft an urgency ordinance for consideration at the Dec. 8, 2020 City Council meeting. In advance of the Subcommittee’s meeting, the Subcommittee is seeking public comment on this working discussion draft by staff.
