Adult Programs
- Adult Summer Reading Program – Read books, share favorites and win prizes.
- Author talks – Meet local and national authors at the library.
- Carlsbad Playreaders – Enjoy play readings featuring San Diego’s top actors on various Monday evenings.
- Carlsbad Reads Together – A communitywide reading program that celebrated its 10th year in 2014.
- Concerts – Hear everything from jazz to world music and more. Concerts are held at Carlsbad City Library's Schulman Auditorium, at 1775 Dove Lane, as well as at the Cole Library and the Library Learning Center.
- Films – The Carlsbad Film Series is the last three Wednesdays of the month at 6 p.m., and the Cinema Series of Carlsbad features critically acclaimed films one Saturday bimonthly at 2 p.m. at the library’s Schulman Auditorium.
- Magee Park Poets – A poetry program sponsored by the library and funded by the Friends of the Library. Poetry readings and poetry writing workshops are held regularly.
- Special events – From business workshops to special celebrations, join the library for lively special events.
